Nathan Urena is a seventh-generation Californian and Inland Empire native dedicated to advancing equitable policy and civic engagement across Riverside County. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from California State University, San Bernardino, associate degrees from Moreno Valley College, and is pursuing his Master of Public Policy and Administration at the University of Redlands.

Currently, Nathan serves as Vice Chairman of Moreno Valley’s Environmental & Historical Preservation Commission, guiding local preservation, sustainable land-use, and stewardship initiatives. A committed public servant and community advocate, his broader experience spans campus governance at CSUSB, statewide student advocacy through the Student Senate for California Community Colleges (SSCCC), and leadership roles within local civic and nonprofit organizations focused on educational equity and civic literacy.
