Art Alcaraz has lived in Riverside since he was a toddler and is a product of local schools. He attended Riverside City College and Cal Poly University, Pomona, and went into Human Resources for 42 years. Art has been teaching at UCR each Fall Quarter since 2014 in the School of Business Administration and also teaches in RCCD’s Economic Development Department’s Customized Training Program. He is active in the community and currently sits on various boards and commissions. He has been active and successful in local community sports at various levels. Art enjoys life, musica and family – wife Alicia (Sha), daughters Anna Loza and Alina Alcaraz and sons David and Cruz Alcaraz and grandsons Michael and Diego. Art truly believes in the goodness of all people and that all can and do add value to causes they engage in. His motto in life is “La Vida es Deliciosa.”
