Maryana Carreon graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a BA in Cultural Anthropology and a minor in History. She is originally from Hemet, California. 

Maryana has strong feelings about culture and community. She strives to help protect culture because it helps connect us to our past and to our future. In her college career she participated in many programs focused at giving back to the community. Currently she is a Cheech Program Associate with the Riverside Arts Museum.
